Matthew 15:31 The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.
That verse should make you want to jump out of your seat and leap for joy. It’s one thing to take a prayer request on Sunday at church, but its another to see God move in miraculous ways right here, right now.
After all, we do serve a God of the suddenlies. If people get instantly healed you can bet they are gonna be excited. If we have the authority to lay hands on the sick and heal them, we should be expecting some suddenlies. I want every trip to the grocery store to end with someone leaping around and praising God because they got healed.
I’m not saying every prayer will happen that way every time, but I can tell you this verse has raised my expectation level. It’s not enough to say “Well, I’ll keep praying for you, bye now.” I’m choosing to believe for the suddenlies. And I’m going to do my part in praising God for it too. When God moves, we should too!
“Hallelujah, you just got healed of back pain? That’s because God is good and He loves you! Glory to God!”
Excuse me while I head out to pick up some groceries…..
