The Year Of Publishing.
I’m working on a book right now and it’s about my testimony of purity. Last year as I was praying I told God I wanted to write a book. I don’t know why, but I just really felt like I wanted to share my story and possibly create some breakthrough for others. Sometimes the people I meet sort of have this attitude of “I’ve done too much bad stuff, I could never go to church.” or “God could never love me I’ve messed up too much.” and it breaks my heart to hear that. Part of my vision was to share my testimony of sexual purity (or lack thereof) in a way that would encourage others to know that no matter where you’ve been, God can redeem it.
So I told God I wanted to write a book. Then I went to sleep and thought nothing of it. The next morning I woke up unusually early at 5 a.m. and there was this list of chapter titles in my head. So I immediately wrote them down and promptly fell back to sleep. Over the next three weeks I spent a couple hours every day filling up three legal notepads with my stories. I was feeling very optimistic about the possibility of writing a book and every day the writing inspired me more and more.
But then I had to leave and go fly to the Amazon jungle to start filming the movie I was working on. Which was very awesome, but also time consuming. After filming in the jungle I had spent the next 5 months editing and that took up the majority of my days so I had no time left to work on the book. Lately I’ve finally gotten to a point of making time to transcribe my stories from paper to computer. So I’ve got all three notepads transcribed and now I have to finish off the last few chapters. My hope is that the stories will string together and reveal some insights on walking with God and also struggling with God and purity. Which in this society is a very real thing. So I just wanted to share with you guys that while 2017 was the year of making a movie. I hope 2018 is the year of writing my first book. And most importantly I can’t wait to share it with others. My prayer is that it will make an impact and change lives and bring others into a new relationship with God.
What are some dreams of yours that you hope to accomplish in 2018?
