Ok, just got back from El Salvador yesterday and today I am flying to North Carolina to film a friend who works as an evangelist in the Amazon Jungle.
Basically this trip to NC is to do some filming and scouting to see if we can make a feasible attempt at flying in and filming her work in the Jungle with the tribal people. There have been cameras, but never a video camera where she is working and I think it would be awesome to cover some of that footage and share it with the rest of the world.
I’m really excited to make the trip and I know that if God wants me to go then he is going to provide. I’m not totally qualified as a filmmaker in someways, but I remind myself that God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Thats my mantra for this trip. I do feel slightly overwhelmed as I haven’t had a chance to prepare as much as I wanted packing wise. I got some new gear I will be working with in NC so I am excited about that, but I also haven’t had a chance to work with it completely either so it will be testing in the field which is risky with gear. I have backups for audio and what not but still. Anyway, it’s gonna be fun. Just wanted to post something here for the sake of getting into the habit.
Hopefully the weather holds up, there’s supposed to be a big storm coming in and apparently NC people don’t handle snow all that well haha.
